Aaron Johnson, Armed Bank Robbery, Pennsylvania 2021

A Harrisburg man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for committing four armed bank robberies in Cumberland County.

Aaron Johnson, 30, was sentenced to 132 months’ imprisonment followed by five years on supervised release by Chief U.S. District Court Judge John E. Jones III.

According to Acting United States Attorney Bruce D. Brandler, Johnson committed the following armed bank robberies between February and September 2019:

– AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union on February 15, 2019, where he stole $6,300;

– Centric Bank on July 12, 2019, where he stole $8,450;

– BB&T Bank on July 31, 2019, where he stole $10,079; and

– PNC Bank on August 19, 2019, where he stole $2,734.

The total amount stolen in the four robberies was $27,563. Johnson was ordered to pay restitution to the banks in this amount.

Chief Judge Jones also ordered Johnson to pay restitution to the banks in the amount of $27,563.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Lower Allen Police Department, East Pennsboro Township Police Department, Camp Hill Borough Police Department, and the Hampden Township Police Department.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Johnny Baer is prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program that brings together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
