In a long-overdue crackdown, Federal officials have begun rounding up Chicago’s most notorious aliens, marked for deportation to their countries of origin. The cleanup operation, dubbed a ‘menace to society’ by government officers, aims to rid the city of undesirable immigrants with criminal ties. The first carload of 54 aliens, escorted under heavy guard, left Chicago on Sunday en route to the New York port. Five others were pulled from Chicago, having been picked up in other cities.
