Amanda Jo Jones Sentenced to 60 Months for Methamphetamine Distribu…

Westville’s AMANDA JO JONES, 24, faces a decade behind bars after being sentenced to 60 months imprisonment for her role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy.

Jones was also ordered to serve an additional three years of supervised release following her prison term. The sentence stems from Jones’s guilty plea in August 2014, which acknowledged her involvement in the illegal scheme from June 2013 until April 9, 2014.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma prosecuted the case, with assistance from the District 16 District Attorney’s Drug Task Force, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and the United States Postal Inspection Service. Jones admitted to conspiring with others to possess with intent to distribute and distribute methamphetamine.

On June 17, 2014, Jones caused $13,300 in USD to be transferred to California to pay for methamphetamine supplied by Michael A. Cooper. The transfer was a direct act in furtherance of the conspiracy.

The Honorable Ronald A. White presided over the hearing in Muskogee. Jones will remain in the custody of the United States Marshal Service until transported to the designated federal facility where she will serve her sentence, which is nonparolable. First Assistant United States Attorney Doug Horn represented the interests of the United States.

Jones’s conviction and sentence underscore the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in Oklahoma and the commitment of federal law enforcement agencies to dismantle organized crime networks.
