Baltimore Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for Narcotics Trafficking
Anton Williams, age 43, of Baltimore, Maryland, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, followed by four years of supervised release, for conspiracy to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine in the Monument Street area of East Baltimore; possession with intent to distribute fentanyl; and for money laundering.
The sentence was imposed on September 10, 2021, by U.S. District Judge Ellen L. Hollander. Williams was also ordered to forfeit $472,000, a .38-caliber revolver and eight rounds of .38-caliber ammunition.
According to the investigation, Williams was a wholesale supplier of narcotics to the East Baltimore Monument Street Drug Trafficking Organization. He acquired multiple properties, including real estate, using the illicit funds obtained from his narcotics trafficking business.
Co-defendant Wardell Roundheart, age 44, of Baltimore, was also sentenced to 68 months in federal prison, followed by four years of supervised release, for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and for possession with intent to distribute a fentanyl and cocaine mixture.
The investigation was conducted by the DEA, IRS-CI, and the Baltimore Police Department. The agencies worked together to disrupt the drug organization and seize the illicit funds and real estate.
Acting United States Attorney Jonathan F. Lenzner commended the agencies for their hard work and dedication to improving the community. The investigation demonstrates the importance of collaboration between federal, state, and local partners in addressing the violence associated with drug trafficking.
Williams’ guilty plea stated that he had acquired at least $472,000 in proceeds from his narcotics trafficking business. The investigation also revealed that Williams had used the illicit funds to acquire multiple properties.
