Washington, D.C. — Charles E. General, a 29-year-old repeat offender, got his comeuppance as he was sentenced to two years in federal clink for illegal possession of a stolen firearm. The street-wise operator, known to the locals as ‘Banger Bandit,’ admitted to packing heat without a license. cops nabbed him on Oct. 13, 2023, during a street marijuana bust, when they felt a Glock 30S — reported stolen from Virginia — in his coat pocket. General’s prior felony conviction for carrying a pistol without a license made his possession of the firearm a federal case. The Metropolitan Police Department and ATF had a field day with this one.
