A brazen heist in the heart of New Orleans has led to a federal indictment for a Tennessee man. Bart Green, 62, of Nashville, Tennessee, was charged with Bank Robbery in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2113(a), according to a press release by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
On March 1, 2024, Green allegedly robbed a Regions Bank in New Orleans, Louisiana, making off with approximately $2000. If convicted, Green faces up to twenty years in prison, up to a $250,000 fine, up to three years of supervised release, and a mandatory special assessment fee of $100.
The crime was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Violent Crime Task Force and the New Orleans Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul J. Hubbell of the General Crimes Unit is handling the prosecution.
