According to an unnamed informant of Commissioner Hazen, the city’s notorious bootleggers are no longer raking in the big bucks. In fact, authorities claim that one notorious bootlegger, operating primarily in the Second Precinct, made a staggering $134,000 during his first few months of operation after Prohibition repeal.
