Bourrage Brothers, Methamphetamine Conspiracy, Mississippi 2023

Two men from Kemper County, Mississippi, are facing the music for their involvement in a massive methamphetamine operation. According to court documents, Donovan Sherill Bourrage, 45, and his brother Orlando Bourrage, 48, both of DeKalb, Mississippi, conspired with others to distribute methamphetamine in and around the Kemper County area.

The case is the result of an extensive investigation targeting illegal drug trafficking in the Neshoba and Kemper County areas. The investigation was led by Homeland Security Investigations, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, and other local law enforcement agencies.

On May 22, 2023, after a five-day trial, a jury found the defendants guilty of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The exact quantity of methamphetamine involved in the conspiracy is not specified in the court documents.

The brothers were sentenced to over 20 years in federal prison. Donovan Sherill Bourrage, 45, was sentenced to 324 months in federal prison, while Orlando Bourrage, 48, was sentenced to 280 months in federal prison.

The case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation. OCDETF identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations that threaten the United States.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Keesha Middleton and Carla Clark. U.S. Attorney Todd W. Gee and Special Agent in Charge Eric DeLaune of Homeland Security Investigations in New Orleans made the announcement.

Law enforcement agencies that contributed to the investigation include Homeland Security Investigations, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, Kemper County Sheriff’s Office, Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office, Philadelphia Police Department, Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, Mississippi National Guard Counterdrug Task Force, and the Madison Police Department.
