Fort Wayne, Indiana – Brandon S. Keister, a 21-year-old from Russell, Kentucky, has been charged with stealing a firearm from a federal license holder in Indiana.
The alleged crime took place on September 10, 2012, and was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Steuben County Sheriff’s Department, and the Kendallville Police Department.
Keister was charged with a single count of stealing a firearm from a federal license holder, as per a grand jury indictment on December 16, 2013.
Assistant United States Attorney Tina L. Nommay will be prosecuting the case.
The indictment is merely an allegation, and Keister is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
If convicted, the specific sentence will be determined by the judge after considering federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
