Brevard Man Sentenced for Fentanyl, Meth Distribution

Orlando, Florida – A stern justice has been served for Christopher Fitzgerald Spivey Jr., a 41-year-old from Melbourne, Brevard County.

Senior U.S. District Judge John Antoon II meted out a 20-year federal prison sentence to Spivey for his role in distributing deadly fentanyl and methamphetamine. The court also decreed that Spivey must forfeit $10,500—hard-earned proceeds from his illegal drug trade.

Spivey’s dark deeds reached their zenith on November 5, 2024, when he met the fate of his actions, facing a March 6, 2025, plea of guilty to charges brought against him.

The court records paint a chilling picture. On four separate occasions between November and December of last year, Spivey dealt a dangerous blend of fentanyl and methamphetamine to an undercover source. His arrest led to the execution of a search warrant at his residence, where law enforcement officers uncovered more than 1.2 kilograms of pure meth and over 130 grams of the deadly fentanyl. Additionally, five firearms were seized, a stark reminder of the violence often associated with such drug operations.

Spivey’s history of criminality was already well-documented before this investigation. His previous conviction for aggravated assault upon a law enforcement officer resulted in enhanced penalties, underscoring the gravity of his current sentence.

This case stands as a triumph for justice, with the Drug Enforcement Administration leading the investigation, receiving crucial support from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Megan Testerman prosecuted the case with unwavering dedication.
