Orlando, FL – A grim toll in the ongoing war on drugs: Christopher Fitzgerald Spivey Jr., 41, from Melbourne, Brevard County, has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for his role in distributing deadly fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Sentence handed down by Senior U.S. District Judge John Antoon II, who also ordered Spivey to forfeit $10,500 in drug proceeds. The guilty plea was entered on March 6, 2025.
Spivey’s criminal activities reached a chilling peak between November 5 and December 10, 2024, when he sold fentanyl and meth to an undercover source four times. His arrest followed, revealing a residence filled with drugs and firearms, including five firearms found at his home.
In all, Spivey faced charges for distributing or possessing over 1.2 kilograms of pure meth and more than 130 grams of fentanyl, a dangerous mix that poses a significant threat to public safety.
Spivey’s past is as dark as his present actions. He had previously been convicted of aggravated assault upon a law enforcement officer, which enhanced the penalties in this case.
The Drug Enforcement Administration led the investigation with support from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Megan Testerman prosecuted the case, ensuring justice was served for the victims and community affected by Spivey’s actions.
