Brooklyn Gun Kingpin Khyle Williams Busted for Illegal Arms Sales

New York Attorney General Letitia James has joined forces with the NYPD and ATF to announce the indictment of Khyle Williams, 31, for an alleged spree of illegal firearm sales in Brooklyn. The 176-count indictment against Williams stems from his alleged activities between May and October 2025, during which he sold at least nine firearms.

Williams is accused of selling 32 firearms, including semiautomatic pistols and revolvers, as well as 12 high-capacity magazines and 200 rounds of ammunition. His illegal transactions reportedly netted between $800 – $1,100 per firearm. The recovered weapons included some that had been reported stolen in Georgia.

According to the investigation, Williams used encrypted messaging apps to negotiate deals and arrange meetings for his sales, typically taking place in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn. Attorney General James emphasized the importance of this operation in curbing gun violence, stating, ‘My office is committed to putting a stop to gun trafficking operations that flood our communities with dangerous weapons.’

NYPD Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch highlighted the significance of the joint effort, noting, ‘Over the first two months of 2026, we achieved the lowest number of shooting incidents and shooting victims ever recorded in New York City history.’ ATF Special Agent in Charge Bryan DiGirolamo reinforced the collaborative approach, emphasizing the role of the Joint Firearms Task Force.

The investigation into Williams involved controlled firearms purchase operations, covert video surveillance, and analysis of financial and telephone records. Williams faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison if convicted of all charges.
