Grimy Times has uncovered a shocking case of child abuse in Bullhead, South Dakota, where a 51-year-old man has been charged with Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child. Edgar Yellow Earrings, a resident of Bullhead, was indicted by a federal grand jury on September 16, 2014, on charges of engaging in a sexual act with a child under the age of twelve between March 7, 2001, and July 21, 2003.
The maximum penalty upon conviction is up to life in custody and/or a $250,000 fine, 5 years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. Restitution may also be ordered.
The charge stems from an allegation that Yellow Earrings engaged in a sexual act with a child under the age of twelve in Bullhead. The charge is merely an accusation and Yellow Earrings is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mikal Hanson is prosecuting the case.
Yellow Earrings was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service. A trial date has not been set.
Grimy Times has learned that this is not the first time Yellow Earrings has been in trouble with the law. However, we are unable to disclose further information at this time due to ongoing investigations.
The people of Bullhead are in shock over these allegations. ‘This is a devastating blow to our community,’ said a local resident. ‘We demand justice for the victim and their family.’
