Raymond Karl Yellow Owl, a 40-year-old resident of Browning, was also arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Johnston in Great Falls on February 9, 2017, and entered a plea of Not Guilty to charges of assault resulting in substantial bodily injury to a dating partner and assault of a dating partner by strangulation. If convicted, Yellow Owl faces 10 years in prison, $250,000 in fines, and 3 years supervised release. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office has also announced charges against Natalee Christine Crumley, a 24-year-old resident of Power, who was arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Johnston in Great Falls on February 7, 2017, and entered a plea of Not Guilty to charges of wire fraud, aggravated identity theft, and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity. If convicted, Crumley faces 20 years in prison, $250,000 in fines, and 3 years supervised release. The case was investigated by the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Division.
