Carriere Man Pleads Guilty to Child Sex Video Production

GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: A Carriere, Mississippi man has admitted to producing a shocking video depicting a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Joshua Christopher Stockstill, 29, was arraigned on federal charges after being identified by the FBI as the perpetrator of the crime that occurred in Pearl River County in November 2018.

According to court documents, Stockstill lured the child into participating in the illegal act using his cellphone camera. The video and other images were brought to light by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), leading to an investigation that pinpointed Stockstill as the suspect. He is now facing the possibility of a 30-year prison sentence, a lifetime of supervised release, and a maximum fine of $250,000.

U.S. Attorney Darren J. LaMarca and Special Agent in Charge Jermicha Fomby of the FBI announced the plea, which will be followed by a sentencing hearing on February 24, 2022, in Gulfport. Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrea Jones is handling the prosecution.
