NEW ORLEANS, LA – Luis Chavez-Lopez, a 31-year-old Mexican national, is headed to federal prison after receiving a 37-month sentence for the crime of illegal reentry. U.S. Attorney Duane A. Chavez-Lopez previously pleaded guilty to a one-count Indictment charging him with illegal reentry of a removed alien.
