A Franklin County man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his involvement in the possession of child pornography.
DARRELL PECK, 38, a resident of Sullivan, MO, was found guilty of two felony counts of possession of child pornography in February 2010.
Peck was sentenced by Senior United States District Judge E. Richard Webber after pleading guilty to the charges on February 25th of that year.
The investigation into Peck’s activities was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistant United States Attorney Reginald Harris handled the case on behalf of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Peck’s 10-year prison sentence is a stern reminder of the severe consequences of possessing child pornography.
The harsh penalties for such crimes are in place to protect innocent children and bring perpetrators to justice.
