Claremore Sex Abuser Ryan Haight Gets 120-Month Sentence

TULSA, Okla. – In a harrowing tale of abuse, Ryan Duke Haight, 45, has been sentenced to 120 months in federal prison for the Sexual Abuse of a Minor and two counts of Abusive Sexual Contact with a Minor in Indian Country. The Claremore man was convicted by a federal jury in May, with one count being dropped during post-trial proceedings.

Haight’s sentence includes 15 years of supervised release upon his eventual release from custody, along with the requirement to register as a sex offender. He must also pay $3,353.70 in restitution. According to evidence presented at trial, Haight engaged in lewd behavior towards a 14-year-old girl, culminating in sexual abuse during a massage he claimed was a ‘prize’ for a bet.

The court heard chilling details of Haight’s actions, including making inappropriate comments and touching the victim on numerous occasions. The case was investigated by the FBI and the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office, with Assistant U.S. Attorneys Stephen Scaife and Kate Brandon leading the prosecution.

Haight will remain in custody pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons. His sentence is a stark reminder of Project Safe Childhood’s mission to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in 2006.
