Clyde Hall, Narcotics Trafficking, New York 2021

Former New York Giant Clyde Hall, 82, of New York, NY, is facing serious charges after being found in possession of over 7 kilograms of suspected cocaine. The arrest occurred on April 24, 2021, while Hall was on home confinement under the CARES Act.

According to the criminal Complaint unsealed in Manhattan federal court, Hall claimed that an additional 5 kilograms of cocaine was on its way. The Complaint alleges that Hall attempted to sell the cocaine to a confidential source. The suspected cocaine had a significant street value.

Hall, a former professional football player with the New York Giants, was previously sentenced in 2010 to 20 years in prison following his conviction for various financial fraud crimes. He was serving his prison sentence and was released to home confinement by the Bureau of Prisons under the CARES Act.

The charge against Hall, narcotics distribution, carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. Assistant United States Attorney Ni Qian is in charge of the prosecution. The case is being handled by the Office’s Narcotics Unit.
