Concord Thug Pleads Guilty to Bank Heist

CONCORD, N.H. — In a dramatic turn of events, Leeland Eisenberg, a resident of Concord, New Hampshire, has copped to a federal bank heist charge. United States Attorney Emily Gray Rice confirmed that Eisenberg pleaded guilty on Thursday in connection with the Citizens Bank robbery at 875 Elm Street in Manchester.

The court filings and statements revealed a chilling account of the August 2, 2016, midday caper. An older white male with dark hair and eyeglasses, dressed in a blue jacket, walked into the bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash without triggering alarms or using dye packs.

But it was not just the heist that had law enforcement on high alert. A witness who knew Eisenberg recognized him as he exited the bank. The security footage of the robbery was promptly distributed, leading to Eisenberg’s identification by both the witness and familiar law enforcement officers.

Eisenberg was nabbed later that evening near Pine Street Cemetery, his pockets stuffed with ten bags containing what turned out to be powder cocaine. He is now facing additional charges for drug possession.

Scheduled for June 9, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., Eisenberg’s sentencing hearing promises to be another chapter in this grim tale of crime and justice.

Investigation of the case was led by the Manchester Police Department, with Assistant United States Attorney Donald Feith handling the prosecution.
