Convicted Felon Keenan Brock and 8 Others Hit with Federal Gun Charges in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI – The grim streets of Cincinnati have once again been witness to the law’s heavy hand, as U.S. Attorney Dominick S. Gerace II announced the charging of nine previously convicted felons with federal gun crimes. This action is a direct result of an intensive multi-agency operation targeting violent crime in the city.

Gerace, in a forceful statement, emphasized the office’s focus on the gun violence plaguing Cincinnati. “Together with the ATF, the Cincinnati Police Department, and other local law enforcement agencies, we have targeted violent offenders with a history of gun-related offenses,” he said. “Our work is far from over; anyone who threatens our communities by illegal firearm use will face federal consequences.”

ATF Special Agent in Charge Jorge Rosendo echoed Gerace’s determination, affirming the ATF’s commitment to protecting Hamilton County and Cincinnati. “Today, we stand ready to leverage our resources to remove armed offenders from our communities,” said Rosendo.

Cincinnati Police Department Interim Chief Adam Hennie praised the collaborative efforts of all involved in combating gun violence. “The Cincinnati Police Department is committed to working with federal, state, and local partners to ensure public safety,” Hennie stated.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich highlighted the collaboration between law enforcement agencies in protecting the community from violent crime facilitated by illegal firearms. “My office is proud to work alongside our partners to get the worst offenders off the streets as long as possible,” said Pillich.

The charged individuals include Keenan Brock, 38; Gary Curtis, 51; Daishawn Harrell, 25; Stephen Johnson, 43; Kameron Scott, 31; Robert Shaw, 50; Christopher Watkins, 42; Antonio Williams, 29; and Carlos Williams, 42. All nine are currently in custody. Their charges range from murder to illegal possession of firearms while under the influence of alcohol or brandishing weapons during altercations.
