Jordan Pensak, a 27-year-old corrections officer at Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey, has been charged with sexually abusing an inmate. The alleged abuse occurred in January 2026, when Pensak had a consensual sexual relationship with the inmate and exchanged sexually explicit photographs and messages over social media and electronic applications. The inmate used two contraband cell phones to facilitate the communication. Pensak admitted to the relationship in text messages sent to multiple individuals, including family members of the inmate.
Pensak made her initial appearance in federal District Court in Camden on July 28, 2026, and was released on bail. If convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. The investigation was conducted by special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice, Office of the Inspector General.
