In a stunning reversal, the United States Court of Appeals has given the government a second chance to bring notorious racketeer Frank Costello to justice. The 67-year-old mob boss thought he had dodged the bullet when United States District Court Judge Edmund L. Palmieri dismissed the denaturalization case against him just ten months ago. But yesterday, the Appeals Court ruled that the government should have been allowed to file a new affidavit to replace tainted wiretap evidence.
