Boston Man Pleads Guilty to Fentanyl Distribution
BOSTON – A Boston man has pleaded guilty to a drug distribution offense involving fentanyl. Csean Skerritt, a/k/a “Shizz Grimmy,” a/k/a “Black,” 36, pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of 40 grams or more of fentanyl.
Skerritt agreed to sell 50 grams of fentanyl to an individual in exchange for $1,500 on February 1, 2023. Following a series of communications, Skerritt met the individual at a pre-arranged location, where he provided approximately 52.3 grams of fentanyl in exchange for the agreed-upon amount.
Skerritt is currently awaiting trial on murder charges in Massachusetts state court. He was indicted for murder in the Massachusetts Superior Court on March 9, 2023.
The charge of distribution of 40 grams or more of fentanyl provides for a sentence of at least five years and up to 40 years in prison, at least four years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $5 million.
Skerritt is scheduled to be sentenced on June 6, 2025. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutes that govern the determination of a sentence in a criminal case.
United States Attorney Leah B. Foley and other law enforcement officials announced the guilty plea. Assistant U.S. Attorney John T. Dawley of the Organized Crime & Gang Unit is prosecuting the case.
