South Bend Man Pleads Guilty to Firearms Possession

Damar S. Howell, 38, of Michigan City, Indiana, has pleaded guilty to knowingly possessing a firearm in and affecting interstate or foreign commerce. The charge was filed as a result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Howell’s guilty plea was entered before Magistrate Judge Christopher Nuechterlein, who is recommending that the district court accept the tendered guilty plea. Parties have 10 days in which to object to the magistrate judge’s recommendation. According to documents filed in this case, Oldham reinstalled the operating system software on his computer in order to destroy the images.

Christina Glen, 43, of La Porte, Indiana, pled guilty to theft of government property. Glen’s guilty plea was entered before Magistrate Judge Christopher Nuechterlein. Sentencing has been set for September 5, 2013, at 1:00 PM in US District Court – South Bend before Judge Robert L Miller Jr. This case was filed as a result of an investigation by the Department of Labor. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Barbara Brook.
