
Four men have been sentenced for their roles in an armed robbery spree that terrorized businesses in Central Florida. DaMarris Jean Saint-Juste, 20, of Orlando, was sentenced to 17 years and 10 months in prison for his involvement in the armed robberies of seven convenience stores and one towing business.
The robberies occurred between August 26 and September 14, 2022, with the men targeting businesses in Orlando, Apopka, and Kissimmee. The gang used firearms to steal cash, tobacco, and lottery tickets during the heists.
According to court records, Saint-Juste and his accomplices, Marcus Terrell Ellington, 22, Nelson Ross Henderson, 21, and Rodreakas Deshay Smith, 19, were responsible for the robberies. Ellington was sentenced to 16 years in prison, Henderson to 15 years and 6 months, and Smith to 10 years and 6 months.
The gang’s crimes were captured on surveillance video, which showed the men approaching businesses at gunpoint and stealing cash and merchandise. In one incident, Saint-Juste, Ellington, and Henderson robbed an employee of TL Towing in Orlando, stealing $3,000 in cash.
The investigation into the gang’s activities was led by the FBI, with assistance from local law enforcement agencies. The case highlights the need for businesses to take security measures to protect themselves from armed robbery.
The sentences handed down to the four men bring closure to the victims of the armed robbery spree. The community can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the perpetrators have been held accountable for their crimes.
