A harrowing case of child exploitation has come to a close with the sentencing of Daveion Wright, a 32-year-old Middletown man, to 348 months in prison for sexually exploiting a toddler on Snapchat.
According to court documents, Wright pleaded guilty in April 2025 to charges stemming from the exploitation of a 2-year-old victim in January 2024. The disturbing details of the case reveal that Wright uploaded videos of the explicit conduct to Snapchat, sharing one of the videos with others.
The videos in question depict Wright engaging in intercourse with an adult female while the toddler victim is present, with one 54-second video showing the toddler pushing on Wright’s hips. Other videos show Wright exposing the toddler’s anus and vagina during the act.
This case is particularly egregious, with local law enforcement having received at least three other complaints against Wright involving different child victims between 2019 and 2023. These allegations include claims of inappropriately touching victims at a sleepover, highlighting a disturbing pattern of behavior.
The sentencing of Wright was announced by Dominick S. Gerace II, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio; Elena Iatarola, Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Cincinnati Division; and Middletown Police Chief Earl Nelson. Assistant United States Attorney Kyle J. Healey represented the United States in this case, which was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge Michael R. Barrett on September 9.
