SCRANTON – David Bomboy, a 61-year-old man from Scranton, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to five years in prison for his role in a Lackawanna County-based methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy.
According to Acting United States Attorney Bruce D. Brandler, Bomboy previously pled guilty and admitted to participating in a conspiracy to distribute between 350 and 500 grams of methamphetamine in the Scranton area between February and April 2019.
The investigation was conducted by the Scranton Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Assistant United States Attorney Robert J. O’Hara prosecuted the case.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
The investigation revealed that Bomboy was involved in a conspiracy to distribute large quantities of methamphetamine in the Scranton area. His guilty plea and subsequent sentencing demonstrate the commitment of law enforcement to hold individuals accountable for their actions and to keep our communities safe.
