David President Sentenced to 18 Years for Armed Carjackings

ST. LOUIS – In a swift and decisive move against violent crime, United States District Court Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh, Jr. today sentenced David Curtis President to 18 years in prison for the heinous crimes of armed carjacking and firearms offenses.

President, aged 29 and a resident of St. Louis County, pleaded guilty on August 24, 2021, admitting to two separate incidents of carjacking that shook the community. The first took place on June 28, 2019, when President pointed a gun at a victim, stealing their 2007 Buick Lucerne and pistol from the vehicle.

But his criminal spree did not end there. On July 29, 2019, at the Petro Mart at 698 Gravois Bluffs Boulevard, President’s actions escalated to violence. He shot two individuals, taking their 2017 Nissan Altima in a ruthless display of firearm misuse.

The St. Louis County Police Department conducted an intensive investigation that led to President’s arrest and today’s sentence. Judge Limbaugh delivered the verdict without hesitation, ensuring justice is served for the victims who suffered at the hands of this armed menace.

David President’s sentence sends a clear message that violent crimes will not be tolerated in Missouri. The community can take solace in the fact that one of its most dangerous criminals has been locked away for his actions, providing a degree of closure to those affected by these brutal attacks.

This case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of law enforcement’s dedication to public safety and the judicial system’s commitment to meting out justice.
