Kammeron Davis, Restaurant Robbery, Missouri 2024

A string of brazen robberies at four St. Louis restaurants has come to an end with the conviction of Kammeron Davis, 33, of St. Louis. A jury delivered the guilty verdict on Wednesday evening in U.S. District Court, finding Davis guilty of three counts of robbery, one count of attempted robbery, and three counts of brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

The evidence presented at the trial revealed a pattern of violence, with Davis at the helm. On September 13, 2020, he robbed a Penn Station restaurant in St. Louis, pointing a gun at employees and demanding money. Just three days later, he tried to rob a Subway restaurant in Maplewood, but was chased off by an employee wielding a broom.

But Davis wasn’t deterred. About 15 minutes later, he robbed a Subway in St. Louis, leaping over the counter and stealing money from the cash register while armed. And on September 20, Davis and another person robbed a different Subway in St. Louis.

The robberies were captured on video, as was the car Davis used. Three people identified Davis as the robber in court, providing further evidence of his guilt. ‘This case is a stark reminder of the violence that can occur in our communities,’ said the FBI, St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, and Maplewood Police Department in a joint statement.

The investigation into the string of robberies involved the FBI, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, and the Maplewood Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Donald Boyce and Cort VanOstran prosecuted the case. Davis is scheduled to be sentenced on October 22.

Under federal law, Davis faces a mandatory term of 21 years in prison for the firearm charges. The robbery and attempted robbery charges carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison each. This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in our communities.
