Canal Winchester Man Charged with Robbing Victims at Gunpoint

COLUMBUS, Ohio – In a brazen string of robberies, 21-year-old Dezjuan O. Myers of Canal Winchester, Ohio, allegedly targeted individuals selling gaming systems on Let Go and Craigslist, holding them at gunpoint in separate incidents in March 2018.

According to an affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint, Myers met with separate victims in the parking lot of a church on Gender Road to purchase XBOX and Playstation gaming systems. Each time, he would ask the seller victims to accompany him to his nearby house to test the systems, only to retrieve a shotgun stashed in a pile of leaves and point it at the victims, demanding they leave their items and walk away.

Dezjuan O. Myers is scheduled to appear for arraignment at 2:30pm on an unspecified date before U.S. Magistrate Judge Kimberly A. Jolson.

Myers’ alleged crimes took place on March 15, March 24, and March 29, 2018. If convicted, he faces significant prison time for his actions.
