Domineaq Marchell Wilson, Unlawful Possession of Stolen Firearms, Nevada 2023

A Las Vegas resident has been sentenced to prison for his involvement in unlawful possession of stolen firearms.

Domineaq Marchell Wilson, 24, also known as ‘Tension,’ was sentenced to 30 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for his role in the crime.

The incident took place on August 2, 2023, in Las Vegas, where a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer approached Wilson and three others in a parking area behind an apartment building.

The officer noticed the ignition of two motorcycles had been torn out, and at least one of the motorcycles was running without a key.

When the officer saw the grip of a pistol protruding from the waistband of Wilson’s pants, he directed him not to reach for the firearm.

However, Wilson grabbed the grip and ran from the officer, causing the firearm, a Browning Black Label .380 semiautomatic pistol, to fall to the ground.

Wilson also threw down a backpack containing a loaded Glock G42 semiautomatic pistol as he ran.

The officer caught Wilson as he tried to climb over a wall.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the Browning Black Label .380 semiautomatic pistol had been stolen from a Federal Firearms Licensee in Overton, Nev., and the Glock G42 semiautomatic pistol had been stolen from a private citizen in Henderson, Nev.

At the time of the incident, Wilson was on state supervision in two separate felony convictions in Nevada.

Wilson pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

He admitted to the crime, which led to his sentencing.

The case was investigated by the ATF and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, with Assistant United States Attorney Dan Cowhig prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in the community.
