A Columbus man will spend the next 11 years and 4 months behind bars for his role in a drug distribution operation in the northern panhandle of West Virginia.
Dominic McCall, 30, pleaded guilty to three counts of Use of Communication Facility to Facilitate a Drug Offense in May 2021.
McCall admitted to using a phone to sell methamphetamine in Marshall County and elsewhere in November and December 2018 and February 2019.
The Marshall County Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated the operation.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn M. Adkins prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.
U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided over the sentencing hearing.
McCall will serve 140 months of incarceration for his role in the operation.
The sentencing occurred on an unspecified date, but McCall’s guilty plea was in May 2021.
This case is a reminder of the ongoing struggle to combat drug trafficking in West Virginia and the surrounding region.
