A brazen pharmacy robbery shook the quiet streets of Uhrichsville, Ohio, on August 24, 2014, as Donald Boozer, 37, of Fredericktown, allegedly took a controlled substance from a Rite Aid pharmacy.
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Carole S. Rendon, a federal grand jury returned a one-count indictment charging Donald Boozer with the pharmacy robbery.
The indictment alleges that on or about August 24, 2014, Boozer committed the offense, taking a controlled substance from the Rite Aid pharmacy in Uhrichsville, Ohio.
The investigation preceding the indictment was a joint effort between the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Uhrichsville Police Department.
The matter is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David M. Toepfer, who will work tirelessly to ensure justice is served.
An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
Donald Boozer, the defendant, will face a sentence determined by the Court after review of factors unique to this case, including his prior criminal record, if any, his role in the offense, and the characteristics of the violations. In all cases, the sentence will not exceed the statutory maximum and, in most cases, it will be less than the maximum.
