Tampa, FL – A 37-year-old Lakeland man is behind bars for 20 years after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine, according to a recent sentencing.

Donnell Leeman Moore, Jr. was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber to 20 years in federal prison for his role in a wide-ranging narcotics conspiracy.

Moore entered a guilty plea on July 17, 2024, following an investigation that revealed he had conspired with several co-conspirators to distribute narcotics from his industrial garage in Lakeland between June 2021 and September 2023.

Moore distributed cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other narcotics during the conspiracy, which was carried out with the assistance of co-conspirators who helped him package and distribute the drugs.

As part of the investigation, agents identified the co-conspirators and seized hundreds of grams of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine from Moore’s garage. They also recovered a firearm and packaging materials used in the conspiracy.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Postal Inspection Service, and the Lakeland Police Department. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Samantha E. Beckman.

This case was also part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation, which aims to identify, disrupt, and dismantle the highest-level criminal organizations that threaten the United States using a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach.
