On a fateful night in the usually quiet streets of Brightwoods, Washington D.C., a gruesome double rape shook the community. The victims were two unsuspecting women, brutally attacked in a daring and senseless assault. But what makes this crime even more shocking is that one of the perpetrators was a paroled robber, McDaniel, who was supposed to be on the straight and narrow until 1975. McDaniel, 35, had been serving time for armed robbery and was released on parole, only to allegedly reoffend in the most heinous way.
