Dwayne O’Hagan, Cocaine Distribution, Rhode Island 2012

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Dwayne O’Hagan, 30, of Woonsocket, was sentenced to 24 months in federal prison for distributing cocaine on the streets of Woonsocket.

O’Hagan was arrested by members of the DEA’s Drug Task Force in April 2012 for his involvement in the distribution of cocaine. He was subsequently charged with three counts of distribution of cocaine.

On August 27, 2012, O’Hagan pleaded guilty to the charges, admitting to selling approximately 65 grams of cocaine on three occasions between March 21, 2012, and April 9, 2012.

U.S. District Court Judge William E. Smith sentenced O’Hagan to the high end of advisory federal sentencing guidelines, which included 24 months in federal prison and 3 years of supervised release upon completion of his prison term.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen G. Dambruch and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin S. Towbin.

The DEA’s New England Field Division, along with the Woonsocket Police Department, worked together to bring O’Hagan to justice.
