It was a daring escape that will be etched in the memories of law enforcement officials for a long time. On June 24, 1934, a condemned murderer, Ed Stanton, led a group of three accomplices in a vicious jail break from the Lubbock jail in Texas. The group, known for their cunning and ruthlessness, had been awaiting their fate in the electric chair for their crimes. But Stanton, also known as ‘Perchmouth’ due to his unusual appearance, had other plans. Using brute force, the group smashed their way out of the jail, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
