Washington D.C. – In a shocking turn of events, Edmund D. Rheem, the embattled executive vice president of the bankrupt corporation, Swartzell Rheem Hensey Co, pleaded guilty to concealing notes worth $162,000 belonging to the company. The plea, made before Justice Peyton Gordon in Criminal Division 1 of District Supreme Court, marked the beginning of the end for Rheem’s once-promising career. According to court records, Rheem had been accused of embezzling the funds, but the second count of the indictment was unexpectedly dropped by Assistant United States Attorney General Nugent Dodds and Special Assistant Neil Burk.
