Eduardo Zazueta, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, New Mexico 2020

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – Eduardo Zazueta, 25, has been charged with a federal firearms charge after a guilty plea was entered in federal court on July 30.

Zazueta was indicted on November 17, 2020, and was found to have sold a 9mm handgun to an undercover agent on September 30, 2020, in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. According to court records, Zazueta had been convicted previously of possession of a controlled substance and trafficking in controlled substances.

As a previously convicted felon, Zazueta is not legally permitted to possess firearms or ammunition. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated this case.
