Egan Davis Sentenced for Monument Street Drug Ring

Baltimore, Maryland – Egan Davis, 40, of Nottingham, has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison for his role in the Monument Street drug trafficking ring. His co-defendant, Amin Boyd, 42, pleaded guilty earlier this year, while Andre Lemon, also age 40, faces a similar fate.

United States Attorney Robert K. Hur, Assistant Special Agent Orville O. Greene of the DEA, and Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison announced the convictions.

In July 2018, DEA Strike Force Group 1 targeted the area known for drug distribution and violence. Davis was identified as a supplier to the Montford DTO and OTM DTO, with Boyd serving as a wholesale customer. Lemon was an associate of a source also charged.

Search warrants executed at Davis’s and Lemon’s residences in 2019 yielded over two kilograms of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, $51,300 in cash, and a loaded handgun. Lemon had been prohibited from possessing firearms due to previous convictions.

Davis and Boyd agreed to sentences of 10 years and seven years, respectively, if the court accepts their plea agreements. Sentencing is scheduled for December 8, 2020.

This case is part of a larger effort by law enforcement to improve safety in Baltimore’s neighborhoods, with the Strike Force targeting violent crime and drug trafficking organizations.
