A North Chesterfield man has been brought to justice after pleading guilty to stealing mail from a local post office in Richmond, Virginia. Elijah Holmes, 25, was caught by officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department on June 7, 2024, after a reported break in at a U.S. Post Office in North Chesterfield.
According to court documents, Holmes was seen wearing a ski mask and rubber gloves, carrying three duffle bags full of stolen mail, including letters, envelopes, and other mail matter addressed to more than 700 individuals.
