A shocking tale of brutality unfolds in the high desert of New Mexico, where a 29-year-old man has pleaded guilty to a heinous crime.
Evan Haceesa, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, will face the music for his role in the murder of Jane Doe, a woman who died at his residence in Nageezi, New Mexico, on August 28th.
According to the plea agreement, Haceesa attacked Jane Doe at his home, punching her in the face until she lost consciousness and kicking her several times. The victim was found unclothed and unresponsive, lying in a wheelbarrow outside the house by a responding Navajo Police Department officer.
The brutal assault was met with swift justice, as Haceesa pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. The plea agreement has left many questioning the events that led to this tragic outcome.
The Farmington Resident Agency of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, with assistance from the Navajo Police Department, investigated the case. Assistant United States Attorney Matthew McGinley is prosecuting the case, ensuring justice is served.
Haceesa will remain in custody pending sentencing, which has not been scheduled. He faces up to life in prison for his crimes, a grim reminder of the consequences of violence.
The people of New Mexico demand accountability, and it’s clear that Evan Haceesa will face the full force of the law for his role in this devastating crime.
