In a shocking move, former Governor Samuel Merrill Drake of Centerville has stirred up a hornet’s nest by making Drake University a joint heir to his vast estate. The announcement was made today at commencement exercises at Iowa College in Grinnell, Iowa. According to sources, the university will receive a staggering $550,000 from the estate, valued at a whopping $3 million. This is not the first time Drake has shown his generosity towards the institution, having already contributed $200,000 to promote the university.
