WASHINGTON – The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has made significant personnel changes, appointing new regional directors and a deputy director in key positions.
The FDIC has appointed John F. Vogel as Regional Director, New York Region, effective January 14, 2024, and Jessica A. Kaemingk as Regional Director, Kansas City Region, effective May 5, 2024. Vogel directs both Risk Management and Consumer Protection supervision programs for financial institutions headquartered in the New York Region, while Kaemingk oversees similar programs in the Kansas City Region. Lisa K. Roy was appointed as Deputy Director, Operations in the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS) effective May 5, 2024, and will direct strategic planning, budgeting, financial management, and supervision technology management for RMS.
Vogel, a 33-year veteran of the FDIC, has held various leadership positions within the agency, including Deputy Director, Operations in RMS in the Washington Office since 2019. Kaemingk, a 22-year veteran of the FDIC, has also held key leadership positions, including RMS Deputy Regional Director, New York Region since 2019. Roy, a 30-year veteran of the FDIC, has served in various executive roles, including RMS Associate Director, Operations and Special Projects since 2013.
The appointments come as the FDIC continues to navigate the complex world of banking and financial regulation. With the rise of new technologies and the ever-changing landscape of financial markets, the FDIC must stay ahead of the curve to ensure the stability of the financial system.
John F. Vogel has been with the FDIC for more than 33 years and has held a number of leadership positions within the FDIC, including Deputy Director, Operations in RMS in the Washington Office since 2019, New York Regional Director from 2012 through 2019, and Acting Atlanta Regional Director from September 2022 through October 2023. He also served as RMS Assistant Regional Director and Deputy Regional Director in the New York Region.
Jessica A. Kaemingk has been with the FDIC for more than 22 years and has held a number of leadership positions, including RMS Deputy Regional Director, New York Region since 2019, Acting Deputy Director, Operations in RMS the Washington Office from February through April 2024, and Acting Regional Director, New York Region from January through August 2022. She also served as RMS Assistant Regional Director in the New York Region.
Lisa K. Roy has been with the FDIC for more than 30 years with nearly two decades of executive experience. She has served as RMS Associate Director, Operations and Special Projects since 2013, and has additionally served as Associate Director of the Supervision and Applications Branch in the Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection from 2002 through 2007 and Deputy to the Director (Appointive) from 2007 through 2010.
