Felon Charged with Guns in Western New York
Stephen Reed Pattison, 31, of Hilton, NY, was charged with being a felon-in-possession of firearms.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, according to U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr.
Pattison’s arrest followed a series of Facebook posts in which he expressed his support for white supremacist groups and is believed to be associated with a local “Blood and Honour” group in the Rochester area.
He was arrested in October 2020 by the United States Marshals Task Force as a parole absconder from a 2016 conviction for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree in Missouri.
During the execution of search warrants for Pattison’s cell phone and residence on Church Road, investigators found evidence of his involvement with white supremacist organizations and seized various firearms.
Pattison made his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Marian W. Payson and was detained.
An investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Marshals Service, and other agencies led to the charge.
