Christian Carrion, a 32-year-old Central Falls man, has pleaded guilty to distributing fentanyl in Rhode Island. The guilty plea comes after an investigation by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, which identified Carrion as a key player in the local fentanyl trade. In May 2025, Carrion sold approximately 56 grams of fentanyl to another individual, and a subsequent search warrant at his residence turned up cocaine.
The FBI Safe Streets Task Force, which consists of agents and law enforcement officers from various agencies, including the Rhode Island State Police and local police departments, worked together to bring Carrion to justice. The task force’s efforts have been crucial in disrupting the flow of fentanyl into Rhode Island communities.
Carrion’s guilty plea marks a significant victory in the fight against fentanyl distribution in Rhode Island. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, up to a $10 million fine, and a minimum of four years of supervised release. His sentencing is scheduled for June 25, 2026.
The case against Carrion was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Julianne Klein and Peter I. Roklan. The investigation and prosecution of fentanyl distribution cases like Carrion’s are critical in reducing the supply of this deadly drug and keeping Rhode Island communities safe.
