Five individuals have been charged in connection with a gunrunning investigation in Cook County, Illinois. According to a recent press release, nearly two dozen guns were recovered during the investigation.
The charges include conspiracy to possess firearms without a license and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. The defendants are accused of transporting and selling firearms without proper licenses.
The investigation was conducted by the Google Weapons Crime unit, in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies. The defendants were arrested on March 10, 2024 and are currently being held at the Cook County Jail.
