GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: Kansas City, Mo. – Elmer Abel Flores-Alvarez, Juan Jose Esparza-Gallardo, and Gilberto Javana-Zuniga stand accused of a brazen return to the United States after previous deportations, as federal authorities crack down on illegal immigration.
Flores-Alvarez, 27, faces a one-count indictment for illegal reentry by a previously removed alien. He had been booted from the U.S. twice before – once in April 2018 and again in October 2019.
Esparza-Gallardo, 33, is charged with the same offense, having been deported twice prior, in April and July 2017.
Javana-Zuniga, 41, is no stranger to deportation either. He’s facing charges for illegal reentry after being removed from the U.S. three times – in 2011 and 2013.
This isn’t just any crime – it’s a direct challenge to America’s immigration laws. The trio was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement – Enforcement and Removal Operations, part of Operation Take Back America.
