In a shocking turn of events, a federal judge in the Texas Southern District Court (TXSD Federal District) handed down a guilty verdict against Juan Carlos Garcia-Bautista, a 35-year-old Mexican national, on charges of violent crime. The case, Garcia-Bautista, was filed on July 19, 2011, in the TXSD Federal District Court in Houston, Texas.
Garcia-Bautista was accused of being involved in a string of violent robberies that took place in the Houston area. The defendant allegedly used a firearm to intimidate and threaten his victims, causing them to hand over large sums of cash. According to court documents, Garcia-Bautista was linked to at least five robberies that occurred between February and April 2011.
